Family-owned for around thirty years this idyllic rustic retreat has been a critics favourite for most of this time, with the star warmly approved later in its life. Winter guests are met with huge log fires, comfy sofas and menus featuring local game, and in summer under shaded trellises the garden permits al fresco dining using wild garlic or funghi foraged from nearby woods.
